How we make money
Complete Car Loans is not a lender. We are a free matching service that connects shoppers with dealers in their area. When you ask to be connected, we pass your information to dealers near you, and those dealers pay us for the introduction. You never pay us anything, and the amount a dealer pays does not change what we write or who we recommend.
What actually happens to your information
This is the part most sites in our industry do not spell out, so we will.
If you submit a request to be connected with a dealer, we share the details you gave us — your contact information and the basics of what you are looking for — with dealers in your area who work with buyers in your credit situation. Those dealers then contact you. We are paid for that introduction whether or not you end up buying anything.
That means you should expect to be contacted, and you should expect it to be by a dealership rather than by us. If you would rather not be contacted, do not submit the form — reading the site does not put you on any list.
What we are not
- We are not a lender. We do not approve, decline, price, or fund loans, and we cannot tell you what you will be approved for.
- We are not a dealer. We do not sell vehicles or set their prices.
- We are not a credit repair service. Nobody can remove accurate information from your credit report, including us.
What this means for the content
We have an obvious interest in you buying a car. Pretending otherwise would be the least trustworthy thing on this page, so instead here are the specific rules that limit it.
Dealers pay for introductions, not for coverage. No dealer, lender, or partner can pay to be recommended, to appear in an article, or to have something removed from one.
Distress content carries no calls to action. Pages about repossession, deficiency balances, and financing that collapsed after delivery have nothing to click. Those are the moments where our incentive and your interest are furthest apart, so we take our incentive off the table entirely.
We say when not to buy. Several pages here tell readers to wait, keep the car they have, or walk away from a deal. That advice costs us money and it stays because it is correct.
